Review: RSVP Restaurant, Dubai: A Sheer Classy Breakfast Affair
RSVP Restaurant blows fresh air into Dubai’s breakfast scene with casual class and finesse. For now, breakfast is only available on weekends, but dinner is available every day.

The Highs
RSVP’s in-house bakery pumps out pillowy goodness, especially the bagels and bread.
The modern decor is reminiscent of Paris via Manhattan with more intimate dining spaces available, plus an outside terrace.
A focused breakfast menu including croque monsieurs, caviar poached and scrambled eggs.
The pricing is competitive for this food quality.
RSVP’s breakfast just feels special.
The Lows
Some will want their mimosas and bellinis with a kick, but RSVP is unlicensed.
RSVP Restaurant Blows Fresh Air into Dubai's Weekend Breakfast Scene
This is not my first visit to RSVP. I came to RSVP for dinner with a friend a few months back. Did I write about it? Sadly not. It’s a beautifully decorated restaurant boasting a French menu with pops of occasional Japanese moments (or somewhere in Asia, Dubai can’t help itself) by the affable and more than capable Chef Aadel Ouaoua.
Clockwise from top left: RSVP Restaurant’s interior between the kitchen and the bakery; RSVP Restaurant’s outside entrance on Al Wasl Road in Box Park and the inside of the main dining room.
The best part of that dinner? The service team wheels out an incomparable ice cream tower that is sliced, drizzled, spruced and then fluffed with nuts and caramel (58 dhs). This came after four plump charcoal smoked lamb chops lacquered in jus and teriyaki sauce (230 dhs) and what I’m liberally calling Dubai’s best escargot (90 dhs). Pudgy snails bobbing luxuriantly in parsley butter and crusted with breadcrumbs. That crispy breadcrumb touch is inspired. Why didn’t I return? Box Park is not an area that I frequent at all, especially in the evenings. And, let’s be honest, Box Park is not known for being a culinary destination. Plus, I love Three by Eva and that’s just over the road.
Today was different. This time I am at RSVP Restaurant for breakfast. And, it’s worth a special journey — and 800 words. Sadly ice cream and snails are not on the breakfast menu as such things are frowned upon in the early hours.

RSVP Restaurant's Breakfast Menu
RSVP shuns the predictable Dubai breakfast fayre. No acai bowls, no halloumi, no French toast smothered in sugary nonsense. RSVP’s breakfast is a classy, casual affair. Petit déjeuner towers, groaning with smoked salmon, avocado and more, sail passed (65 / 110 dhs). The Breakfast Tower is easily shared between two people making for excellent value for money.
RSVP’s tidy breakfast menu lures you in with dishes between 35 and 110 dhs. Order the creamy scrambled organic eggs (35 dhs); prim them with caviar, or black truffle (75 dhs). Mrs EatGoSee debates whether to order the eggs benedict fresh pain de mie blanketed in hollandaise sauce (65 dhs). Maybe with smoked salmon (75 dhs)?
My firm advice is to order anything bread. RSVP’s in-house bakery turns out some of the best restaurant bread in Dubai. Our petit déjeurner tower comes with bagels and cream cheese pelted with chives. I have not found a better bagel in Dubai, despite my considerable efforts.

RSVP Restaurant's croque monsieur is totemic, with enough crispy bits and a soft middle that epitomises comfort food.
RSVP Restaurant's breakfast and mocktails delighted
RSVP’s genial service team bring our orders. Mrs EatGoSee’s croque monsieur is a Neom project replica. A long, slender bar of spongy pain de mie layered with turkey ham, lashings of bechamel sauce and comté cheese (55 dhs). It’s totemic, with enough crispy bits and a soft middle that epitomises comfort food. There are worse ways to start the day. My bellini and her Hugo, with elderflower, lemongrass and mint, refresh but, before anyone gets too excited, RSVP is unlicensed so these are mocktails (both 45 dhs, respectively).
My poached eggs with oscietra caviar and buttered planks of pain de mie are cooked with precision (90 dhs). This is not everyday eating, but isn’t that a shame? Creamy yolks are lovingly seasoned with the caviar’s salinity. I lick my fingers clean after sketching them across my plate’s yolk and caviar debris.
We settled into a Dutch pancake and pain perdu for sheer journalistic research. The Dutch pancake is thin and light with crispy edges; its divot is loaded with fresh raspberries and a mound of rich Chantilly cream (45 dhs). The pain perdu is ‘thiccer’ than a Kardashian’s thigh: pain brioche saturated with sweet milky deliciousness dusted with icing sugar (60 dhs). Maple syrup is optional and, yet, necessary.

Absolutely. Mrs EatGoSee and I messaged people while in RSVP Restaurant telling them to check it out. We will come back but, in the meantime, RSVP Restaurant may be one of Dubai’s best breakfast spots.
People who want a slice of Paris without the air miles. Those who want a break from the usual breakfast options in Dubai. A special day out for couples and larger groups. Diners that enjoy excellent baked bread.
