The Lows
Opened as part of the celebrated JA The Resort complex, Jebel Ali Lake View Hotel brings a sophisticated tone to Dubai’s hotel-leisure scene. Surrounded by the rolling greens of the 9-hole championship golf course, turquoise lakes, and Gulf coastline, the five-star property blends the calm of nature with the vibrancy of a bustling resort.
Designed by LW Design, the hotel combines organic textures, open spaces, and modern minimalism to create clean lines and neutral tones. Floor-to-ceiling glass blurs the line between indoors and out, creating an uninterrupted dialogue between the interior and the natural surroundings. The hotel itself looms protectively over its multiple pools and activity areas.

The hotel’s design follows the contours of the landscape. The curved façade imitates the lake’s shape, while the interiors embrace biophilic design principles. Natural stone, brushed metals, and lush greenery dominate public spaces, evoking a spa-like calm, despite the volume of families and children on site.
In the lobby, an art installation of suspended birds pays homage to the local wildlife, catching your attention throughout the day. Outside, landscaped walkways merge naturally with the surrounding golf course. The hotel—despite its industrial surroundings—is becoming a frontrunner for eco-tourism.

Jebel Ali Lake View’s Suites and Rooms
Jebel Ali Lake View’s 348 rooms and 41 suites are understated yet stylish with comfort clearly a priority. You can expect soft, neutral palettes blended with bronze accents and dark wooden tones. The floor-to-ceiling windows allow maximum natural light, as well as superb views across the resort and the golf course.
The bathrooms are generously-sized, featuring freestanding bathtubs, rainfall showers, and luxury Elemis amenities. The suites, particularly those with golf course views, include wraparound balconies ideal for private sunbathing or drinks with friends.
Each room is equipped with integrated smart technology, a Nespresso machine, and intuitive lighting control (that is clearly labelled and user-friendly).

The Deluxe, Resort Course View and Premium Course View rooms. Each 40 m², come with the free-standing bathtub, as well as wall-mounted flat screen TVs. WiFi is included, as expected, and there are plenty of regular plug sockets and USB sockets to keep those family devices charged. Almost all rooms have patio doors opening onto a small balcony with views of the many areas the resort has to offer. This is useful for eyeing up the free sunbeds before you head down to the family and adult-only pools.

Jebel Ali Lake View One Family Room Standard Golf Course View.
The Junior Suites (70 m²), One Bedroom Suites (132 m²), and One Bedroom Terrace Suites (168 m²) are spacious and wow-inducing when you walk into them. Each contains a separate living area for reading and relaxing. The One Bedroom Suites include Premium Lounge Access and the size of the suites really makes full use of the floor-to-ceiling windows and natural light. The Terrace Suite has a sprawling balcony with sunbeds, outdoor seating, and a mini table and chairs for use. The danger with these suites is that you simply do not want to leave to enjoy the rest of the resort.
The four available One Bedroom Private Pool Suites (168 m²) and the two available Two Bedroom Outdoor Jacuzzi Suites (250 m²) are as glorious as one might expect. The pools and the Jacuzzis allow terrace views across the resort and golf course, with the added bonus of complete privacy for your dip and sunbathing. The Jacuzzi Suite can host four adults and three children, or six adults, making it an ideal getaway for families or multiple couples.

What’s Nearby? The honest answer? It does not matter. The resort holds everything that you need and we found that a 3-day stay was not enough to do half of the activities available. I could not imagine leaving the resort even if I stayed for seven nights or more.
Jebel Ali Lake View’s Headline Activities
Jebel Ali Lake View resort has a spectacular array of activities and features that will satisfy all guests, from solo guests, to couples, and especially families. Here is a top-line summary of what’s on offer.
Just Splash Park and splash pad. This is ideal for the family and children of all ages. A complimentary shuttle cart runs from the hotel lobby to the splash pad and is sure to keep the whole family entertained for an entire day. Children above 100 cm in height can enjoy thrilling rides aqua-tubes and racer slides.
Jebel Ali Golf Course. This 9-hole championship course is always in great condition and offers a challenge to golfers with tight fairways and many water features. The course definitely favours course management, rather than bombing it as far as possible. If you are not quite Rory McIlroy yet, there is also a fun mini-golf feature suitable for all levels.

Jebel Ali Lake View enjoys a 9-hole golf course right off the hotel property called the JA The Resort Golf Course.
Shooting Ranges, Archery, and Clay Pigeon Shooting. The JA Shooting Club looks like a fortress and contains state-of-the-art shooting facilities: six floodlit ranges for shotguns and pistols. The shooting range is accessible by a shuttle from the hotel and passport, Emirates ID or UAE driving licence is required by law. There are plenty of games and activities available, with post-shooting lunch at the Smokin’ Gun.

The Swimming Pools. You need a day alone to explore the eight temperature-controlled pools and four children’s pools. Adults can enjoy a well-made cocktail from a concise cocktail list at the adult-only pool (with dedicated entrance lift from all floors), while those with children can relax at the swim-up bar of the main pool.

Pirates and Mermaids Kids Club. In order to enjoy the tranquillity of the adult-only pool, you might make use of the Kids’ Club. The first hour is complimentary and then it is AED50 per hour for the two hours after that. Supervised games and activities take place in a safe setting. Crèche services and babysitting services are also on offer with advance booking required.

Kids could lose themselves for hours here.
Watersports, Diving, and Sailing. Kayaking and stand-up paddleboards are available, as well as windsurfing for the more adventurous. Wakesurfing and wakeboarding is available from the world-class wakeboats. Diving is supervised by PADI-certified instructors for both beginners and experts. Night diving is highly recommended.

Tennis, Padel, Squash and Badminton courts. Four tennis courts, two padel courts, squash courts, and badminton courts are high-quality and again, certified instruction is available for a fee.
Horse-riding Stables and Swimming with Horses. The Equestrian Centre offers a large sapce to enjoy horse and pony riding for adults and children alike. Qualified instructors guide the experience. Swimming in the Arabian Gulf with horses is a special adventure with easy access near the resort entrance.

Animal Discovery Zone and Bird Aviaries. A 2023 development where you can learn interesting and fun facts about birds and animals, meet fluffy bunnies, wise old tortoises, cute goats and variety of birds in the aviaries.
Calm Spa. A wellness retreat at the adjoining Palm Court offers 40 contemporary treatments designed to soothe and restore. Indulge in relaxing massages, boost your radiance with a facial, enjoy curated wellness packages, or simply use the Jacuzzi, sauna, and steam rooms.
Soul Beach. Up to 7,000 guests can be accommodated with indoor and outdoor access to the beaches. You will find multiple bars, private pools, and comfortable seating and sunbeds. Located close to the marina pier, the beach offers an element of seclusion for a relaxing beach day. A golf buggy will transport you to this 800 m long beach.

For those seeking a more sedate pace, the lakeside walking trails are ideal for early mornings or sunset strolls, often accompanied by the genteel hum of birdlife.
Kinara. The signature restaurant of the hotel is the pride of celebrity chef, Vikas Khanna. The food is designed to take you on a journey and the visual connection to the food is enhanced by the open-plan kitchen where you cannot help but watch the chefs in action. Expect fine dining Indian food with impressive Indian wines and whiskies to match. The atmosphere is provided by a stunning harpist from the middle of the dining space.

RePUBlik. As the name suggests, you can expect to find classic gastropub fare and family-friendly dining. A wide range of craft beers and cocktails are available, and the terrace is ideal for al fresco dining in the cooler temperatures. Service is friendly and casual.

81 Restaurant. The natural light from the lobby enhances this international buffet restaurant, where you will be taking your breakfast. The calm interior even appears to create a calm atmosphere, with guests during our visit showing a level of politeness and decorum not always found at such buffets. The variety of food is wide and there are plenty of fresh options available at live cooking stations, alongside a service team that aims to please.

Bibé Rooftop. This rooftop bar continues the clean lines and flow of the property with a wonderful spot for sundowners and views of the sea and the golf course. A rooftop bar so pretty that it is worth a visit even if not a guest of the hotel.

Smokin’ Gun. As mentioned, this is the place to visit after a session on the shooting ranges. As expected, enjoy a variety of OTT burgers, smoked meats, and craft beers that are brilliantly on-brand for the typical shooting aficionado.
Jebel Ali Palm Tree Court. The adjoining hotel within the resort also contains the following dining options, accessible by golf buggy or shuttle: Tamr Restaurant & Pool Bar, Sandbar, White Orchid Restaurant & Lounge, La Fontana Brasserie, La Fontana Pool Bar, Captain’s Restaurant & Bar, Anchor Restaurant & Pool Bar, Ibn Majed; Sette (which is my personal recommendation for a special Italian dinner with panoramic views of the entire resort and the Arabian Gulf), Vasco Da Gama, Palmito Pool Bar, Sunset Lounge, and the Sports Café.
